The impact of labour reform, from the perspective of chemical and service companies, under debate.
On the 29th of March last, a meeting was held at the premises of the Tarragona Chamber of Commerce a joint conference between the Chemical Business Association of Tarragona (AEQT) and the Association of Service Companies of Tarragona (AEST). with the ultimate aim of sharing and pooling the new labour relations scenario that has arisen following the entry into force of the Law.
On behalf of the AEQT, lawyers Mr. Daniel Macho and Mr. Jorge Gómez explained the repercussions of the reform, and on behalf of the AEST, Professor of Labour Law Mr. Jesús Lahera. The moderators were the President of AEST and MASA Delegate in Tarragona, Mr. Javier Almandoz and the HR Director of MASA, Mr. Carlos López de las Heras. The conference was a success and after the presentation of the speakers there was a question and answer session that gave rise to interesting reflections and contributions from the attendees.
As a result of the meeting, it was suggested that a working group should be set up between the two associations in order to share the repercussions of the reform on the sector's productive sphere and to suggest new models of collaboration and HR management in the face of the new labour reality.
