MASA supports European Mobility Week, which runs from 16-22 September 2023, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable mobility. This week provides a unique opportunity to connect and share new ways of clean mobility, assess current challenges in transport and move towards more sustainable mobility for Europe.

The Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge strongly encourages participation in European Mobility Week (EMW) 2023, scheduled for 16-22 September. EMW, for which the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge is the national coordinator, is a campaign designed to raise awareness among both political leaders and citizens of the significant public health and environmental benefits of using more sustainable modes of transport, such as public transport, cycling and walking. This initiative, which originated in Europe in 1999 and was endorsed by the European Commission from 2000 onwards, is held annually from 16 to 22 September. It offers a variety of activities to promote sustainable mobility and to encourage
the adoption of good practices and permanent measures. The campaign culminates on 22 September with the «Car Free Day» event, the origin of this European initiative, which aims to find new solutions to the problems related to the increase of traffic in cities. From MASA's GIS department, we would like to coincide this week with the launch of our SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY CAMPAIGN. The main purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness among our staff about the benefits for both the environment and health of using sustainable means of transport.
Sustainable Mobility represents one of the key drivers to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as it is aligned with several SDGs of the 2030 agenda.
At MASA we have designed informative posters with practical tips to integrate into our daily habits, which will be distributed in all workplaces.
This week provides a perfect opportunity to connect and share new forms of clean mobility, assess current transport challenges and move towards more sustainable mobility for Europe.
We all have a unique opportunity to work together to address social and environmental challenges and, ultimately, to deliver #ourDownTuesday.
