The management of the Repsol Industrial Complex in Puertollano analysed, together with more than fifty managers and representatives of companies in the industrial sector, the safety performance of the last year. The priority was to reinforce the collaboration between auxiliary companies and Repsol to guarantee compliance with safety plans, as well as to analyse the degree of participation in occupational risk prevention activities, which is compulsory each year.

At the meeting, Repsol presented the award for good safety performance during the year 2021 to the industrial maintenance company MASA, based in Puertollano. When awarding this recognition, Repsol valued aspects such as the occupational accident rate, the quality of the companies' preventive safety actions and the participation of the entire organisation in these actions.

Safety is essential, not only does it protect workers and visitors from injury, but it can also prevent property damage and increase productivity by reducing downtime due to accidents. In addition, a good safety culture also enhances a company's reputation and attracts new customers. It is essential that safety is a priority and is integrated into all phases of a project.

José Luis Flores Chico, manager of MASA in Puertollano dedicated a few words of thanks to his team: “Thanks to all the MASA PUERTOLLANO team for their effort and dedication to make this recognition possible. Risk Prevention is everyone's job, thank you for your daily contributions to Health and Safety, your positive attitudes and your teamwork to protect the health and wellbeing of the people who make up the MASA PUERTOLLANO team”.”

Arsenio Salvador, director of the Repsol Industrial Complex in Puertollano, highlighted the “challenging moment” that the company is going through, in the midst of a process of industrial transformation, and how it will be necessary to rely on these highly qualified companies with a great deal of experience in the industrial sector. In this context, said the director of the Repsol Industrial Complex in Puertollano, “we must continue to be very clear that safety is the most important thing, and that it is the priority aspect that must always be present in decision-making”.
